These bassets are cut out of 3/32 inch steel and the flags are of 1/16 inch steel. In other words, they are not flimsy. We have allowed the surface to rust slightly and then sprayed it with clear satin lacquor. With time, the lacquor will wear off and the they will rust more and achieve a beautiful patina.
Of course, these Welcome Signs also look good painted...especially if you take the time to do the flag in red, white and blue.

The overall height of these Yard Stake Welcome Signs is almost 5 1/2 ft. This includes the 8 inches that should be fully hammered into the ground.

The American Flag measures
15 1/2 ins. x 10 1/2 ins.

The rod is 1/2 inches in diameter.

We are now designing the "pitch-fork" base to be removable (for ease of shipping and hammering into hard ground.) The upright rod fits tightly into a coupling on the base and then you tighten the set screw.

Overall height is 5 foot, including the 8 inches that go into the ground.

The bracket is 28 ½ inches in length - - the dog is cut from 3/32 inch steel and is 13 inches tall - - the "flag" has an overall height of 20 inches. The bracket base measures only 4 inches square, so you can mount this in rather small spaces.
