As we said, we created these for a customer who had no place to hang a Wind Chime but wanted music in her garden.

The sturdy rod is 3/8 inch diameter. The Basset is cut out of 3/32 in steel and the chimes are different lengths of steel pipe. Overall height is just over 4 foot, including the 6 inches that go into the ground.

We have allowed the surface to rust slightly and then sprayed it with clear satin lacquer. Eventually the lacquer will wear off and they will rust more and achieve a beautiful patina.
