Rope Makers are a "fun" antique...you don't often think about how rope is made and this old, home-made "tool" creates thought. It has some cracks in the wood but is still usable...it would be fun for kids to make rope.

[2927] Heavy Duty Rope Maker

This primitive tool is probably from the early 1900's and must have been used to make very strong ropes. The large hooks are hand-forged. (base = 16 inches X 7 ¼ inches)

[2928] Primitive Dust Pan
Not as old or as primitive as some of the other things in this section, this dust pan has a lot of decorative potential. You could drill a hole in the front edge and hang it, using the handle for a towel holder and putting dried flowers in the bin.
